yet every year, more than 1,000,000 pets go without veterinary care because their owners can't afford to pay for medical treatment... tragically, pets are often euthanized or suffer needlessly. Formed in 2008, Animal Care and Assistance Fund (ACAF) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that assists qualifying pets, in Southwestern, PA, who need emergency or specialty care at Pittsburgh Veterinary Specialty Emergency Center (PVSEC).
